Medium Raku Horse

Hand sculpted small horse sculpture.I have used crank clay to make the horses , it’s a very gritty clay which gives the surface its nice rugged appearance.
Each horse is individually made and fired in an electric kiln, it’s then glazed and re fired in an outside reduction kiln ( this is called the Raku method )
This horse has a very unusual matt surface which I achieved with armadillo Raku glaze, he looks burnt or just duck up like archeological treasure! He measures 23cm tall x 30cm approx, and is signed underneath with my HC stamp
