Hand printed carborundum print using an etching press and black etching ink.
The bird image is made using a printmaking technique called carborundum.
This method involves using a fine grit ( carborundum) which is mixed with glue and painted into a shape or design , in this case a bird design. The design is painted onto a metal substrate and then inked up and printed onto handmade paper.
The work is currently mounted in a soft white window mount and unframed.
It can be framed by the buyer or I can get it framed ( As one is here , shown in the last picture at a recent exhibition)
