Cone Bird Flying ii (Candlestick)

Hand sculpted from crank clay and fired in an outside Raku kiln.
The cone bird candlestick can be used to house a candle or have just as it is as a bird sculpture. Each piece is individually made, fired, glazed and then re fired to create the final result. This bird is glazed in turquoise, greens and a white crackle to create the decorative surface. Raku is a bit temperamental colour wise and therefore always a surprise when it finally comes out of the kiln. The bird is the one at the back in pictures 2 and 3.
This piece measures 20cm tall x 12 cm wide.
